Oh the establishment love to rip into us immoral and sleazy porn producers and while I wont dispute there are coke snorting stereotypes like in the movie the real sleazy people are the ones that satellite it.

Porn in itself is not sleazy. Just the mindset of various individuals but the hypocrisy certianly reflects in that porn producers and performers are an unsympathetic lot so the public enjoy seeing the bad people get theirs

Secretly I think it boils down to jealousy of money, power and pussy. Now thats a good reason in itself to hate people in porn but we know the reality isnt like that at all

I don't think the producers necessarily loathed the simple folk of porn, I think it was a good way of getting a sub plot going, that would utilise some big juggs and nice butts. Also everyone in the cinema would cheer to see the porno crew and cast ripped apart by the vengeful piranha. So a double whammy!

and how the fuck could this guy possibly make a porn film waving his Canon XL1 all over the place without a care in the world and going immediately psychotic at the slightest problem after 2 minutes of filming! Also, what happened to his sleazy, geek assistant?

I thought the piece de resistance was when they hurled the porn director's hideously mutillated corpse, to the pirahna hordes, so as to act as a diversion! lol

Yes. Youre probably right Jim but its the same as Tarantino et al using characters who are pederasts to mete out some horribly violent demise because it appeals tothe audience ina similar way: "DIE SCUMBAG! DIE! and when they do die most horribly we feel a sense of justice has been done.

The absolute classic scene where a film director thought it would be fun to show a porn crew and cast being brutally massacred, was in the film "Magnum Force".

The depraved bunch are making a smutty film in a villa, on the hills of LA, snorting coke, shagging and generally "HAVING FUN", when David Soul, (I think)empties about 1000 rounds from a sub machine gun into the party and leaves the swimming pool full of floating corpses. A rather gruesome scene as I recall.

I seem to remember no one seemed that bothered when the massacre was discovered, almost like, "Well, what do these sort of punks expect?" lol

Thanks for reminding me of Magnum Force....I saw the scene only a
couple of years back having never seen this "Dirty Harry" one before !
Yes....we porn people are all depraved scum....at least in the eyes of
the traditional movie establishment.
I can never forget that for years we used to have the Hot D`Or awards
for Euro Erotica during the Cannes Film Festival....though just down the
coast in Mandelieu (the poor man`s Cannes next door). The awards got
so big and classy it started to attract more media attention than the
normal film awards at the Palais du Festivals. As a result the film festival
organisers made the municipality ban the porn folk. We were banished !
I am sure if they could have machine-gunned us all, as in Magnum Force,
they would have preferred it. Dirty porn scum !!! Thats what regular
movie producers think of us !

Anyway, Harry blew them all away in the end so justice was served and the porno people were avenged !happy!
