Very sad news.
His goal record speaks for itself. 30 goals in 33 internationals. 255 goals in 452 league games.
He was brought up in the Bolton area and was a one club man, Bolton Wanderers for his entire career.
Heard him interviewed on the tele a few times and he always came across as a very modest, self-effacing bloke, playing down his own achievements, proud of his club and the area he was from.

Mind you, that was never a goal in the 1958 Cup Final, Harry Gregg was mugged!
