Yes, the programme was called "This Is Your Life" and was hosted by Eamon Andrews for years before Michael Aspel took over.

I remember Eamon Andrews in 'This is your Life', I also remember at least one person refusing to take part and walking out on the show, Danny Blanchflower I think (if you dont know him just Google).
I seem to recall that most of the shows were pretty boring, do remember the one with Lord Mountbatten and him meeting up again with the other survivors from the Kelly, that was pretty good.
Also the show with Douglas Bader. Bader was telling of a particular dogfight and said " these fuckers came out of the sun and jumped us", at that point Eamon Andrews said "I must point out that 'Fockers' were a type of German fighter plane". Bader then said "your quite right, but these 'Fockers' were Messerschmitt's".
Eamon Andrews was also the first compare of 'Crackerjack', oh yes I remember it all too well. Anyone remember who were the two people who were in Crackerjack with EA?

Leslie Crowther was one, the other was a little guy with glasses who's name was Peter Glaze.
In their competitions, the winners got a "Crackerjack" pen and pencil set while the losers got a cabbage (the Beebs prizes haven't changed much have they? !laugh!).

Never did porn to the best of my recollection. What other semi-celeb from the past are you going to randomly resurrect?
