In my time I have tried every recreational substance known to man. However I find alcohol the most addictive and its there legal and cheap. Where I am now wine is only 50 pence a litre!

Anyone can baffle anyone with figures. all figures can be massaged to show whatever the person manipulating them wants to show.
Pub landlords have been whinging for years about the differentiial in supermarket prices and the fucking inflated highway robbery prices these whinging bastards charge.
I buy a case of ? L 5% lager, Becks or Orangeboom from my local open all hours shop for 20 quid each week and I have 2 or 3 every night. Bollocks to the pubs, the breweries have killed them by their fucking greed.
Also, if a chain like Weatherspoons can run a fucking great chain of pubs and make a profit by charging reasonable prices then I say good on em, and fuck the high priced pubs.

Its inbred into our mind set...we commiserate & celebrate with alcohol

We're bombarded with advertising that paints fit young happy successful people having a good time with consumption of alcohol

The truth is far uglier but I'll bet no one ever does anything like they did to the tobacco industry to kerb the downside of its consumption

I figure less trading hours,getting rid of happy hours & reducing prices for drinks from the obscene(1000+% profit markup)to confront the ugly violence which ensues every weekend in the wee small hours

Completlely agree OEJ they have made smoking anti-social so why not booze that leaves drugs as the best of a bad lot so why not legalise it, they cant criminalise smoking and booze as goverments have relied upon these for years as revenue so the next step would be to de-criminalise some drugs, this would benefit a lot of MPs !wink!

Or conversely, imagine spending a typical night down your local putting away 10 pints of heroin. You'd blow 0 in the police breathalyser and they'd thank you for being responsible!
