Light beers...
Can anyone recommend a 'light' beer or lager? I enjoy a pint but probably drink a bit more than I should and am keen to start on the lighter ones. Most beers are 4% or 5% but I have found that some so called light beers and lagers are 4% aswell, so there is no differnce. Is there such a thing as a 1% or 2% beer or lager that is available by the can or bottle, that can be bought in shops or online, that anyone is aware of?

There are loads of 1 - 2% beers, but they all taste like shit so don't bother. Just drink less of the good stuff.

Yeh. Go into any supermarket and buy their branded cheap stuff. You'd have to drink a case and a half to get pissed. A lot like American piss back when I was over there in the Kate.
Or, Becks Vier is a very good 4%, (it's in the name) just drink less.

I discovered that Tesco's own brand is 2%, and is very cheap. There is something called Guinness Mid-Strength that is 2.8% but it seems very hard to get. I discovered all this just now doing research online.

'Becks Blue' is actually quite nice, and it is alcohol free. It is widely available and cheap. I've also found a couple of 3% beers which dont taste as weak as one might think. I cant get hold of 'Guinness Mid Strength' anywhere though.
