I think he should get the treatment, although with obesity being so widespread in today's society we need to fight the problem really hard (like cracking down on parents who are irresponsible when feeding their kids).
Yes, people will say his weight problem is his own doing, but we've been treating lung cancer and other smoking related diseases for decades, as we have done in treating drinking related problems, which were all their own doing; we give speeders in cars life-saving emergency treatment even though they were the ones driving dangerously; we spend lots of money rescuing people off mountains who took it upon themselves to climb the peaks in bad weather; we rescue people from the sea who don't heed warnings about rip tides, etc.
If you're going to deny people treatment for obesity problems where do we draw the line and who decides?

yes and although hes a fat lazy cunt in fairness if we really gave a shit we'd ban companies from making turkey twizzlers/burgers/chips/other shite food from being overloaded with saturated fats and all sorts of other crap, but we don't as its a fine source of taxable revenue.
Re: The 70 stone man!
I think we should take him to the top of a hill and roll him down it whilst egging him.
Maybe stick a roman candle firework up his are and do it at night for a colourful effect.
Does this mean I am a bad man?

Climbers and sailors would generally be perceived to be middle class and so people are deferential towards them. Misjudging weather conditions could be the height of folly or arrogance but people will tend to write it off as 'freak weather conditions' whereas the fat guy will tend to be seen as working class, no self control, and will function to validate the sense of who self congratulatory/ aspirational types 'think' they are ie typifying the kind of person they're 'above'.
Utter nonsense. In a sense the guy is ill, but so are his vehement detractors.

I totally agree with you Sam.
It also amuses me that a fat person can often be treated by contempt by members of the NHS, while an alcoholic or a junkie are usually treated with more compassion.
One question that is bothering me is how the fuck does a 70 stone man wipe his arse?

I could send round some people from my work ---------- there are some serious arse kissers there. I'm sure they could be trained to do some licking.
