What is the charge for a making a false claim of rape? These "victims" should be named and shamed and put on a "gold diggers" register. And the state should pay handsomely to the poor guys who may have had to endure a long trial.

If you read my post The Criteria of Rape you will see that I have described the use of drugs as actual bodily harm which would result in a guilty verdict. And if you read my Criteria of Rape again you will also see that threats of violence would also bring in a guilty verdict.

I, and many others, I'm sure, consider rape as a graver offence than knocking someone's teeth out in a brawl; since both offences under your theoretical system would be deemed as actual bodily harm, I can only conclude that you see rape and assault as crimes of the same depravity.

Putting a pub brawler in the same bracket as the lurking rapist seems to trivialise rape; now, it may be trivial to you but I can't see many agreeing, Mike. In a judicial system where convictions of rape are hard to come by, I can't understand why you want to relegate it to a lesser crime.
