Yet more dropped points, and nearly lost as well.
There's no way both Arsenal and Man Utd will lose 4 games each before the end of the season. Will Rafa last the transfer window or will he survive till the end of the season?

Re: Liverpool
Without Torres this season, they'd have been mid-table, so Rafa got something right at least.
They finished 21 points behind Man Utd last season, and they're already 14 points behind now. I can't see any improvement really, and Man Utd had a really bad start!

Re: Liverpool
I like rafa but he will say that we controlled the game and had chances as usual, but we must start buying proven players or great prospects like ryan babel who never starts,i'm afraid players like benayoun, arbeloa, aurelio, kuyt are too average and are players who the likes of villa, spurs, city, and everton would sign. where are the players like ronaldo who houllier could have got, united won the league and then became the second biggest spenders in europe in the summer. this club needs much more investment in players not in size but in quality.
Re: Liverpool
Does someone press a button late at night when everyone is asleep which pushes them up the table? They never seem to win and yet they are still fourth!!!How does that work?!

Re: Liverpool
It's because the teams around them a few months ago (Man City, Portsmouth and Blackburn) have been shit as well, while in the meantime Everton and Villa have crept up.

Re: Liverpool
If there?s any positive that Liverpool can take from this season so far
its the signing of torres, their savior but 1 player does not make a title chasing team in the EPL

Re: Liverpool
i agree with tommy, those player mentioned should be sold in summer, and babel should be played as a striker up front with torres. plus liverpool need a proper winger on either side and two proper fullbacks.
Re: Liverpool
Whether Benitez lasts the transfer window or beyond really depends on who owns the club.
In the long term if Hicks and Gillet are around then I can't see anyway that he can stay. There might still be some doubt even if Sheik Mohammad buys the club but less likely.
As for stuff on the pitch then it has been obvious since the end of November when the Americans began courting Klinnsman and that broke into the media that it has completely destablised the club on the pitch. I think that's fairly obvious to anybody who watches Liverpool closely and that all Liverpool's problems both on and off the pitch have been self inflicted by the 2 Americans.
Liverpool clearly have a better 1st team, squad and manager than Everton, Man City, Villa and anybody else who's looking for a Champions Lge spot and any challenge to Liverpool for that place will not come from any of those clubs. It will come from within Liverpool Football Club itself.
If Liverpool can get all this boardroom stuff sorted and quickly then we will easily finish 4th. If not then it isn't out of the realms of possibility that mid table could be a likely finishing point.
Thanks to Tom Hicks, George Gillet and David Moores (for selling the club to the Yanks in the 1st place) the football club I love is in turmoil and has been become a complete and total laughing stock and the worrying aspect is that I reckon this could go on for quite a while yet.
