Bollocks.
You speak for yourself (or for others, if they're happy to let you).
Not for this yellow puppet though.
Sure, I don't coil in 130 grand a week, a month - or even a year. And I wouldn't turn my nose up at a few quid more (who wouldn't?).
But I enjoy a decent standard if living, and can afford to buy / pretty much anything I want / need (within reason), I have a nice crib to kick back in (complete with all the decadent comforts), a decent motor, a few quid in the bank ......
Why would I need to be jealous?
No warren. Like I said above - it's all about proportionality.
It's not so much how many sports cars Rio Ferdinand owns that gets folks' hackles up, or how many mansions the Beckhams own (who needs more than one anyway, and who really gives a fuck?).
I think one thing that really pisses off a lot of people (myself included) about the whole thing is that there's all this money sloshing around at the top level of the game, while further down the tree clubs (including long-established pro clubs) are struggling to survive because of this obscenely uneven distribution of wealth.
Given your own oft-repeated advocacy of wealth redistribution, I'm amazed that you haven't seen fit to climb up on your high horse and say something about that.

You forgot "modesty" and "humility", wazza !wink!.

Well no wazza - but this is a thread about English football, not about world poverty.
The point I was making was simply that the FA and Premiership could / should take it upon themselves to get their house in order and ensure that more of the huge amounts of cash sloshing around the Premiership filter down to the lower levels and the grass roots.
I've said before that no-one begrudges the top players a decent wedge. But remember wazza that it's not just players' wages that are an issue.
These smaller clubs (like Farnborough Town) are sources of employment in their respective communities, as well as being an important part of these communities. They're also the places where future star players learn their trade - or at least they used to be, now the big clubs just "buy foreign" as the smaller domestic clubs wither on the vine. A sorry fucking state of affairs.

Kids will be kids
Immature adolescents will always 'follow' the team of the moment to be hip
Its hardly worth mentioning some team down in the lower leagues who hardly rate a mention to your peers if your trying to show what a winner you are, which is what its all about

hear hear again, my funny looking furry yellow friend!
how short sighted and blinkered some folk really are.
while perhaps the greed driven 10% of the british football industry cocks a snook at the rest of the game dying around them, as fat, foreign (and, dare i suggest rather shady) characters muscle in on their latest corrupt and unquestioning investment venture, the public will surely eventually tire of these leeches, who no longer mean anything to their local communities.
real fans take a shine to their own, home grown players, a la john terry / steven gerrard....even our very own richard rufus in days of old.
alas, these boys are now as rare as rocking horse shit as the top clubs buy in endless hordes of foreign mercenaries, here to take what they can from our national sport.
whilst i have nothing personal against the likes of terry, gerrard and the others for maximising their earnings (i, like most people have had no qualms in the past berating the boss if i feel i'm not being paid what i feel i'm worth) the fact remains that in this day and age, when people are struggling to make ends meet, house repossessions are on the up etc etc, how can any individual - in any walk of life - put their hand on their heart and say that they DESERVE to be paid ?150k per week.
i defy anyone to make such a claim with a clear conscience.

Voting for communism is all well and good; getting to vote out of communism is something else!
I just thought you were using word play with 'vote' and 'communism'.
Never mind........
