Apparently, John Arne Riise's payslip got into the wrong hands, and made it on to the net.
It detailed national insurance number, personal address, gross monthly age, appearace bonuses and net pay. The sum mentioned was in the region of ?139K.
I've alays ondered what it would be like to receive such a payslip!!
Has anybody seen it?
Footballer's payslip on the 'net.
Re: Footballer's payslip on the 'net.
GBP139K per month!!! How can that be justified? Where does that money come from?

Footballer's wages are generally quoted weekly, he's probably on ?30-35K per week, then there is his bonuses too.
Yes- it is insane.

If its not sustainable then its insane
A lot of clubs aren't profitable especially when they fail to reach Europe
Still would you prefer the players were paid less and the money stayed inside the Clubs for the owners to play with?

Liverpool are likely to have a good wages-to-turnover ratio, it will be a mere piss in the Pacific.

Its a fine balancing act...pay them enough to stave off poachers
TV rights will always distort players wages IMHO
The german organisation that spent billions buying them last time even before they'd sold them and then went belly up told me big business was at the heart of the problem
One thing to keep in mind is that The premiership is the Top on the moneytree
The lower leagues by public wage standards are still a good place to earn a living but one injury and your career is finished

To be honest 25-30 grand for a first team regular in the Premier League big four is pretty small fry .... still wouldn't sneaze at it myself - might last a few weeks I reckon at a push.
PEOPLE think Stephen Hawking is so clever, but when you ask him a question and he is typing in the answer on his little screen, how do we know he isn't just looking up the answer on the Internet?
