Your walk is like an old man's.
An old man who's shat himself and it's running down his trouser-leg.
Nurr nurr.
And your car is full of toadstools and used johnnies, and you want to
suck Margaret Beckett's flange.
Fnarr fnarr.
200,000 people left the UK last year, why?

I have to say, unfortunately, that WaZ has a point. I live in a small English town: low crime, high civic standards, beautiful architecture, pleasant people, decent schools and hospital, good lifestyle.
If you live in any major city in the world you're going to encounter the problems that the media highlights. It's inevitable when you squeeze so many people together and herd the poor into ghettos just down the road from the rich.
I don't recognise the values of 'kids today' but where I live we don't have an obvious gang culture, or disaffected violent youth or racial tension.
I've lived in a lot of other countries and I still haven't found anywhere I'd rather be than in the right part of England. I spend quite a bit of time abroad but I'm always glad to be back.

Nah, you'd have spelt that wrong, second go.
Anyhoo, if it's meant to be a derivative of 'Bernard' shouldn't it be
'Bernardette'?

How many of those who have left our shores have taken on the nationality of the place they now call home? I suspect that many keep their British passport, and the best of both worlds, just in case, rather than make a long term commitment to their new country of residence.
