Am I bovvered?
Well, yes. Watching the old Who reminded me that for all its limitations, they were at least trying to make the show as good as it could possibly be.
Are they really, honestly trying to do that here? Or are they, as I suspect, now seeing just how much cheap, soap opera mediocrity, cheaper FX and oh so modern celeb bullshit its deluded, fawning audience is willing to accept?
It would help win the show longevity when you think about it. And when it does crash they can sit back and blame the audience for swallowing it to begin with. Job's a good 'un, eh.
