As bad as Bikers who park up in a car space, and dont even think of paying.

Re: Cyclists.... idiots!!!
Just before xmas I was waiting at the lights when the typical early 20's shaven headed tracksuit wearing pretend hardman came cycling down the road, doing the standard 'no hands' aren't I clever pose. But no only did red lights not apply to him, he was going to go through them on one wheel. How I laughed as he fell off, hitting the car in pole position, before jumping back on a scurrying away.
How I nearly pissed myself when I finally got through the lights and met up with him further down the road, where the car he hit had caught up with him and was merrily beating the crap out of him.

We have need of you again, great king.

Re: Cyclists.... idiots!!!
Years ago I mailed a letter to the local rag saying just this. Cyclists arent tested, insured or licensed. They break traffic laws w/ impunity. As such, they pay no gas taxes to build the roads they mooch off of.
Had a mate who is in a cycling club & they read this letter before a ride!

But (generally) I regular cyclist wouldn't suffer obesity as much as a regular driver, yet pay through their taxes for lazy cunts in cars who get fat, then run crying to the NHS for stomachs stapled, diet plans, cholesterol/blood pressure medication. They pay towards your ambulance and care when you have that heart attack from continuously being sat on your arse all day.
Swings & roundabouts.........
I've worked in a hospital and fat people & smokers are the biggest drain on NHS resources (apart from the elderly..........who can also be fat and smokers).

Sam,
Your letter really made me laugh. If I was a doctor I would offer those fat lazy drivers remedial treatment such as cycling or refuse NHS treatment-
they could have a bike on the NHS!
I gave away my last car in 1986 and got a bike but now deep in the Italian countryside I need a car again, but at least there are no traffic jams. One sees the occasional racing cyclist - defying death - out on the roads, where the indigenous population drive at high speeds, but quite a few in the small villages.
I still cycle on the secondary roads (small country lanes) for exercise as well as jogging, swimming and resistance training.
Keep fit and enjoy life.
Mike.

And the worst thing is, if you knock one of them off (and I'm talking particularly about those silly twats who think it's clever to go cycling at night dressed like the Milk Tray man on a black bike with no lights), it's always YOUR fault in the eyes of the law (at least it is here in Germany).
I'm all for live and let live and all that. And of course cycling is "environmentally sound" and all that bollocks. But I've always held the view that cyclists should be forced to pass some form of compulsory test like every other road user. Not a perfect solution I know, but at least it would help.
Oh and Sam - that oft-cited "smokers are a drain on the NHS" argument is bogus, given that they put far more into the dour Scotsman's coffers via tobacco tax than they take out for their NHS treatment. Not sure about those fat fuckers who sit in front of the TV all day, stuffing their faces with junk food though - you might be right on that one.
