"Skunk" is simply marijuana that has not been germinated. The male plants have been removed during the growing stage and the females exude more scent to attract insects that might transport the male pollen. The term "skunk" refers to this strong smell. However it is all the same plant and skunk is stronger because it contains more tetra hydra cannibol THC ( the psychoactive constituent) .
The advantage of this to smokers, or eaters, is that it takes less to reach the "high" that they want to achieve. The weaker "weed" contains lots of stalks and hydrocarbons so is less pure and more deleterious to the lungs.
Organic herbal marijuana is dearer (the same as all organic plants) because it is labour intensive.
All plants in their natural state should be legal to consume as they are our birthright. Every herb has is use in medicine and receptors for cannaboids are present in the central nervous system.

If it wasn't for the cannabis after my motorbike accident 7 years ago i would have spent most of those years in a prescription drug induced dependence with top of the line pain killers ... codeine, morphine etc you get the picture.
Cannabis has given me a life, it's not perfect but i'm happy to have some pain instead of being dependent on what really are heavy nasty drugs, and yes it does slow me down a little and some days i will smoke too much and just forget the day but i feel good and happy .... So please don't tell me it doesn't have any Therapeutic value .... it certainly does. Why the heck do you think some MS and cancer sufferers are getting on prescription ... just to get high no i don't think so.
And as someone that likes to grow my own as well you cannot beat smoking your own homegrown .... Some of you my not know this but cannabis is actually a weed because of it's manic growth, and to get the good strains you need good parents or a good source of seeds .... As some may be able to tell i'm stoned right now and waffling on too much.

The 24 hour thing was a joke, I was trying to get over that 24 hour cannabis would cause a damn sight less problems than 24 alcohol. As for "no therapeutic value" that is completely wrong. Doctors now suggest it and sufferers of MS, arthritis, fibromyalgia, some cancers (and thats only a few of the people I have met) find it is far better and has a lot less side effects than alot of pain killers, used without tobacco. I think there are more people who react badly to alcohol week in week out than do to weed, though yes its not a good idea to mix it with alcohol. At the end of the day both alcohol and tobacco kill you and alcohol makes a lot of people nasty violent and in some cases murderers.
