Tell me why this is acceptable? Right there is one reason why the police have a lot to answer for in terms of public relations.

Two strapping cops cant handle a 5 year old???? What the hell is this world coming to?

You know media, internet, written press, television etc. can be a very dangerous tool when things are shown out of context like this and people aren't told the WHOLE STORY ... that clip is probably a very good example of this I would guess.

Society is to blame,back in the good old days a small slap,carefully delivered would have solved the problem.We all had tantrums at that age,and my teachers certainly knew how to nip them in the bud.
Trouble is,the police/teachers are constrained by so much redtape/laws that they have to follow what is obviously ludicrious behaviour.
No doubt the mother encourages this,probally gets her a spot on some second rate cable chat show.
Put the mother in chains until she can pay the bill for all the damage her child made,now that is the only sensible solution that springs to mind.
Failing that,they still have capital punishment over there......wonder what the next installment will bring...

Now that would boast the ratings (heehee).

I still dont see a reason why two police officers have to handcuff a 5 year old. Kids throw tantrums all the time. This is not the way to deal with it.

I was actually being sarcastic by agreeing with you Warren.

I trust if you have children you wouldnt mind them being treated this way then, right?

Besides, who would waste police time to deal with a 5 year old at school? Unles she knifed or shot some one that is. Besides: What makes any of you think she was being arrested for a tantrum?
