Oh I agree with ya. He didn't snap. I was making a point to Sam about that. With what he did like chaining the doors so nobody could get out, shoot, he HAD to be planning to do that.

It really shouldn't have but from what the news is reporting he had other issues like the type of stuff he was writing about that raised the concerns of a few professors there. Still even with that you probably would say that there's something wrong with him but you ain't thinkin' he's gonna go on a shooting spree down the line. It' just that some things can't be avoided.

First thing, I don't support that creep in any form whatsoever, no matter what crap the people at that University handed him (I doubt some of them there are as innocent as they seem). I'd like to make that clear first.

Now, about this seeming "loner" witch hunt that seems to be going on on both sides of the Pond. Just because one is made to feel isolated in society it doesn't automatically mean there's something wrong with you. In a lot of cases it's society itself that needs to take a real hard look at itself, 'cause I know for one that it doesn't take much for people to take a disliking to you. I mean, you only have to like Sci-Fi or wear plain non-fashionable clothes for people to blackball you!

Take clothes for example, you can be told, as I was at college, that people aren't accepting you 'cause you dress in plain ordinary clothes, then when you get some cooler looking clothes (in my case a leather Brando jacket), then another part of society takes a disliking to you! Then what about Sci-Fi? Harmless, right? Well, a lot of people act like you're a child molester if you like such a pastime! Or something so petty as pop music? Just 'cause you don't like the same "in music" as the rest of the lemmings they can, as in school, bully you for that! Bully you for not having the right shoes. Bully you for not having the latest gadgets. Bully you for not liking football. As a teen and adult you can be bullied and even threaten for not being popular with girls. You can be rejected 'cause you don't have the right job, or you're not of the right economic class. Or what about something like Epilepsy that I have? Twats in society treat you like you've commited a crime! There's absolutely NO understanding whatsoever from anyone. Women reject you off hand, and all because they can't see anything wrong with you, but they know there is, but that's enough for them. Am I making sense here? Government limits you to the jobs you can do, with little or no help to overcome the barriers they've set up. I'm talking about either dead end jobs or Mickey Mouse "training schemes".

So yeah, society should stop looking for scapegoats in lonely people and start trying to sort its fuckin' self out!!! What next I wonder, lynch mobs and bonfires for lonely people that society has alienated for, more often than not, really petty reasons? What I see is the media making the word "loner" into a weapon to bash all lonely people with; to brand all lonely people with a, "He/She could be dangerous. Let's keep away from him/her". !annoyed!

As you can tell I feel very strongly about this. I've even started to think, with the way people talk about "He was a loner", that basically, once you're on you're own, you stay on your own because of all the bad press lonely people get. Once a loner, always a loner......!sad! Phew!!!

Yeah, I know what you mean. But the trouble is that the media brand ALL lonely people with the "He was a loner" statement. You don't walk around with "I'm a Future Mass Murderer" tattooed to your forehead. All people have got to go on, especially the narrow minded ones, is how popular you are with that big lemming known as society. After all the "loner" scare stories in the press, what makes you think a lot of people don't keep innocent lonely people (especially men) at a distance?

Yeah, now I've heard more from the news I understand it was something else other than cultural differences, like those those who caused the 7/7 bombings. Those are the things i was thinking of at the time, incompatible cultural differences. But it seems, as stated in my later posts, that maybe US culture along with maybe bullying is the most probably cause for the murders.

It's still beyond me that in a civilised society where you would think they are trying to cut down the number of violent crimes that you can buy such dangerous weapons so easily.!confused!

Then again, what of murderers such as Hitler? He and other tyrants like him were/are immensely popular and even had/have wives and girlfriends! No loners them. And the people who knew the 7/7 bombers said how nice they seemed, especially that one I seem to remember who worked at a school.
