Windows Bisto

Post by Jacques »

Bill Gates continues his world domination today with the release of Windows Bisto. However could it be the death of Micro$oft?

Not only does it need a 15Gb footprint and is available in 6 flavours but Windows content protection will make your hardware more expensive, less reliable, more difficult to program for, more difficult to support, more vulnerable to hostile code, and with more compatibility problems.

And even worse than that, because Windows dominates the market and device vendors are unlikely to design and manufacture two different versions of their products, it follows that non-Windows users will be paying for Windows Vista content-protection measures in products even if they never run Windows on them.

Tell Gates to fuck off if you have any sense.

If the Linux Os's were compatible with more hardware, and had more drivers written, I'd go that route.

If OSX was available for a PC, I'd go that route.

I'm staying with XP for another 12 months and if nothings changed, I'll seriously consider becoming a Mactard for 3-4 years!

I am not sure if MAC OS is available for PC or not, heard it was cracked a while back with Apple moving over to Intel Chips. Certainly you can get programmes that run virtual Mac OS on your PC ... tend to agree if it wasn't for the incompatabilities I would still have an Apple Mac and not this Windows shite.
PEOPLE think Stephen Hawking is so clever, but when you ask him a question and he is typing in the answer on his little screen, how do we know he isn't just looking up the answer on the Internet?

Will wait a few months before I buy. Have had severa fault free years with XP but I need a newer machine so will likely get Vista as standard.
Microsoft make an excellent product, may not be perfect but no bugger else has come close. Linux is a dead duck, don't know anyone who has even tried it never mind switched. The Betamax of software......
