Photo-Taker, I run a site thats main directory is busy, but forum is deathly!

I don't allow under 18 models to be listed because its not worth the hassle and I have NO interesting in shooting kids, well not with my camera, maybe with a high power rifle ;)

When i spoke to other developers of 'bigger' names with dynamic sites out there, they tell me they introduced 'Age Check' controls, so that when you register, you state your age, Over 18/Under 18, if your under-18 you can't view images rated as adult (self policing here, as mod/tog rates them), and if your not logged in, you cant view adult images by the same method.

Now I dont have kids, but even i'm not so naive to think 'aspiring models' and little brats wont tick the box to say 'i'm over 18' so they see the pics.

I think if you list under 18s, your inviting them to your site and you have a responsibility to ensure they dont have access, I don't know how you can do that, without using cred card/proof of age etc, so its better NOT to encourage them in the first place.

I don't think there is much wrong with child models. How else would you come by photos for a child clothing catalogue?
A site like this is perfectly in order:

But there seems to be a market for pictures like these too:

You may remember the thread about Emily 18:

Emily is an over-18 girl posing as if she were younger. The Crazy Models site presents underage girls posing as if they were adults. Personally, I get an uneasy feeling when looking at this site.
In another forum someone remarked about this site: "Things like this is about as close to child-porn as you can get."

It is the parents who decide how far their daughter may go. But some parents have little sense of responsibility.

I think I know the site to which you refer as I am a member (under a different name). I have exactly the same concerns as you and for that reason will not be re-joining the site - I do not post on it anymore. While I appreciate that child models are needed for certain work eg clothes magazines and the like I would have thought that they were best sourced from professional sites which are more dedicated to providing that type of model. The mix of glamour models (and more) and under 18s is in my book dangerous. I have also voiced my concerns to the site in the past - only to be shot down by a large number of members and some of them even questionning my motives. It is mainly those with little or no skill at photography and I just feel it best to move away and let them get on with it.

Just my view for what worth.

I think I misread your question. It is about underage girls posing for guys who also produce nude shots, isn't it?
I don't have children, but I think I would not mind. But I would insist upon being present and having the right to veto any shot that I don't like.

AIB Littlewoods would prob sue you for saying that... hehehehe...

Generally when shooting cat stuff, its VERY VERY separate, as Lw/Index/Argos whoever comission them are VERY VERY precise about how its shot,
