Yep, all that & we still have the fooking poll tax!!!!! Thats partially why the tories lost the,97 general election..nearly a decade on & we,ve still got it.The fraud squad should be knocking on Tony,s door next!

Yup,that,s the only realistic option to raise money.The poll tax was so unpopular when John Major took over;they had to do something.Pride & the fact it was part of Thatchers political heritage meant they could not admit they where wrong & just scrap it;so they rebranded it.For my entertainment I would have liked them to rename it:I CANNOT BELIEVE IT,S NOT THE FOOKING POLL TAX!!!!...Let,s see what the spin docters can do with that.

"Poll Tax" ... "Community Charge" - they can tinker with the system and change its name as much as they like. It all adds up to the same thing, namely hard-working people getting shafted by the Government.

The bottom line is that taxation in general is too high in the UK, and the taxation system is far too complicated.

The bottom line is. It is still a locally gathered tax to pay for the council.If you are a adult on the electoral register-they,ve got there claws into you.It,s people who pay tax not property.If you live on you own you get a 25 percent discount;that,s laugh..they are really being penalized by 25 percent;paying 25 percent more than if there where 2 adults living there!
