Selling Amateur content?

Can you still sell amateur homemade videos abroad?
Back in the mid 90s a girlfriend used to sell homemade Amateur VHS tapes to some place in Holland.Also I remember some references to selling content in some of the top shelf mags at the time.
I live now in Ukraine,and for fun make small homemade scenes with a digital camera.I send them to old mates over the net etc.
Well you do get to thinking,I have access to a professional photographer who is also interested in making things for profit.
The bonus here is that the girls are so much cheaperv to employ,from 5 pounds up! But of course not many speak adequate English,and do not measure up to the higher standards required for the English scene.
Some advice would be appreciated.

HA! What "higher standards"? Are you having a laugh, pal? Ask, our East European expert, Rude Boy, about the respective standards of the Brit - EU scene.

Well thanks for replying,even if it wasn`t going to swell my bank balance LOL.
Just as a point of reference I was referring to the local girls in my small city in Ukraine,not comparing them to the EU industry.The willing only comes in after a few vodkas:)
I am aware the market is saturated,but the question is can you still sell amateur tapes in Holland,or similar places? I certainly have no desire to sell online.I certainly don`t envy those like yourself who work very hard to produce quality sites.
Still if anyone`s interested,I would willingly offer my assistance if any content maker wanted to meet Ukraine models.You can come to places like this,or Romania,& make content cheaply,but you have to know how to operate out here,that`s the hard part.

You sound like an interesting guy to know! Perhaps you should give up the amateur porn and ventuer into the agency world!?

It could be really quite simple to put a site together and I think that with a competitive alternative to the main european sites like prague and budapest and a collection of fresh new un-seen faces you would get a fair bit of interest?

I commisioned a shoot in Romania once but I was advised that you would have to be pretty sharp at all times out there due to the poverty level etc etc

The people I've been told are very nice and friendly but will steal your shoes before you landed your next step...I dont know how true that is but better take solihulls advice...There are some people that do shoot in these areas but they have...shall we say, interesting connections to do so. So it wont be as cheap as you think but still cheaper compared to the pound.

On that note a girl who I've made friends with in Brazil was itching to do porn so bad and got a break with a couple of fairly well known sites in the US to do 3 scenes of anal/ dp/ gang bang bukkakes for $250 each!!!!

I couldnt possibly expect to look a girl inthe eye and pay her so cheap for all that.

If the models are of a high standard for sure people will be interested. However I am sure the best solution, at least in the short term, would be to bring the girls into Budapest as there is more of a porn' business "Infrastructure" there (This is what we do with Russian girls). This is in no way meant to be disrespectful to the Ukraine or Romania but in Budapest we have a lot of good locations for hire as well as a host of excellent make-up artists, hairdressers, techies etc. Basically it is very easy to shoot in Budapest, everything and everyone you need is here. As a local mate of mine says, it is "Porno' City."

Have a look at www.clubsandy.com or one of the DDF sites and see the standard of models we need. If the Ukrainian models genuinely compare then we are interested in using them. It's as simple as that.

As Officer D wisely points out please do not use the British models as a benchmark. I'm sure we can stretch to fair bit more than ?5 too!
