Anyway back to the original topic,before i get flamed let me state that i dont condone what happened at all but it looks like a case of manslaughter if anything,it looked like she was killed by one of her own (kitchen) Knives and there is no proof that there was any other knife involved,plus she was stabbed on the inside of the thigh, if she was attacked by some nutter with a knife surely he would have aimed at her stomach/chest area?.This is what i think happened: her house or cars(she had two limo's) had been targeted by this gang,it looks like they had tried to break in a few weeks before the fateful night but with no success.They had probably been watching the house and after her husband had left to play snooker they tried their luck,she had heard ther attempts at breaking into her house or car and tried to protect the property by arming herself with a kitchen knife, a scuffle ensued resulting in the fatal wound to her leg.No intent so it has to be manslaughter.They will get a 20 stretch anyway because she was a WPC and because of the publicity surrounding the case, one last thing do you think Crimestoppers and the Sun would have put up so much money if it was you or i.............................

Thanks famous jacob. I think he had a particular motive for initiating the post and he doesn't seem prepared to admit that there were inaccuracies in it.
There is another angle to the story that hasn't been mentioned. Apparently her husband was in dispute over some car hire deal with a dodgy character.
