Dave,
Kings College Hospital carried out research on many herbal remedies and discovered that they gave encouraging results before funding was withdrawn. I am not talking about homeopathy.

If you don't become your own doctor by the time you are thirty you will be killed by one! If you go into hospital then you are playing Russian Roulette with a gun that has ten chambers, one with a bullet in it. One out of ten people die from someting in hospital other than what they went in for.

If you get MRSA try garlic because it contains allicin one of the only things that cure it. But you wil have to treat yourself because it is "alternative medicine" and available in the greengrocer's but not in the pharmacy!

So much respect for doctors!

I get you now.
I did watch a TV program about an electrician who was on call 24/7. If he got woke up in the middle of the night for an emergency he said he could get away with charging ?100 per hour. The same applies to plumbers on call 24/7 I'd suppose.

We shouldn't need solicitors anyway. If the law were written in a clear and concise manner then we wouldn't have any need for them at all, although I don't see that change occurring any time soon, especially not with the current PM, who trained as one, and his wife who's a vastly overpaid barrister.
We don't really need polititions either. The country isn't a mass of uneducated illiterates any more, we don't need a bunch of self serving jackasses to make our decisions for us. In the age of the internet we could have a referendum on everything, it would probably be cheaper than paying for 2 houses of parliament and we'd certainly get more done.

i think the footballers viewpoint is wrong..............they are paid vast amounts of money, mainly from Sky and a small amount from their clubs. As I have only the basic sky package and don't follow a football team i don't pay towards them...........if people object cancel SKY and watch the fall out from that........BUT..............
..........I do pay my various taxes, income, vat, NI, council, TV, car...etc. etc.... and I FEEL i have a fair point when i say that GPs are over paid...........a hospital doctor salary is around the ?50/60K per year ( not consultants) I feel that is a good salary and the GPs should be on that or very near. That is paid for via my tax and i have the right to say its wrong......... When i'ved called the local doc's i am told "week on tuesday"..........bloody silly i could be dead by then !! but they close on two afternoons a week, last appointment at 4.30, first in the morning at 9.30....closed from 12.30 - 2.00 three days a week !!!!!!!!! value for money.......i think not.
!annoyed!
Out of hours calls are now handled by a seperate company, not my local Doc's.........

what are these GP's doing ??????????????

Von Boy,

What is the incentive to be a GP if the salaries are the same ?

As a GP u are technically self employed, you have to arrange your own premises, and manage your own clinic.

So you be a Hospital Dr and get ?60k but you then dont need all the above hassle, so why the hell would anyone take the extra hassle of being self employed for nothing ?

Ever heard the expression, 'you'll never get rich working for someone else', thats because the money is for the boss who is self employed.

If you come to me and say il pay you the same as working in my office, with paid sick pay, paid holiday pay, all you have to do is turn up do the job and go home, as i will pay you for finding a clinic, buying as well setting up and decorating your own clinic, paying your own rates, cleaning bill, electric bill, sorting your own wages, tax and everything else out, so take ya pick'

I'd be like 'ummm No fuckya very muchly', The extra work demands extra money.

People should be looking at solicitors, MPs, For fucks sake your local MP who has a normal daytime job in additon to being your local MP earns fucking ?60,000 + Expenses, look at george galloway.

It is said that both love and truth walk hand in hand. But if the need is great enough, can we learn to love a lie?

My point is, its better to start at a better place, Doctors spend ALOT of years studying and have alot of expenses that come out of their pockets.

Where as your average MP inherited the seat, stood against green peace or the monster raving loony party to win it, and then gets 1000s of pounds in expenses and over ?1200 a week wages.

Do we need all that goverment ?

As for GPs Do you need someone who knows the difference between Xenical and Xylocaine ?
