Although there have been attempts by the activist group 'Christian Peacemakers' to refute claims by The Chief of the Defence Staff, that Norman Kember declined to thank the soldiers who rescued him and probably saved his life, an interview on BBC R4 yesterday with another member of that group makes me think the General's version is the correct one. The woman is shortly going to Iraq on a similar crackpot mission Kember was on. When the interviewer asked if she had concerns regarding the safety of any soldiers required to rescue her should she be kidnapped. She merely expressed concern that her captors might be harmed by the rescuers. BARKING!

I'd leave them too it. They are as crack pot as other religions in Iraq. Even Terry Waite questioned their motives, and he should know about being kidnapped!!

Norman Kember and the 'Christian Peacemakers' really should thrust, with vehement vigour, a small bust of Admiral Horatio Nelson up thier turdchutes.

These people are "Press Fodder",they fill space by the media..solution,switch off.

We rescue them,then they set sail again in the same direction.Waste of time.
