I have Bulldog, and besides a couple of small outages it's been fast and reliable for a few months now. And I have to "test" a lot of porn movies. !happy!

I'd always recommend NOT using the email address provided by your ISP, as it means having to change when you don't like your provider any more. Get a Gmail or some other web based account, or register a domain of your own with email forwarding.

I'm on 2M with Blueyonder and as I started on 256K and got upgraded to 2M free it can't all be bad. I'm too far from the BT exchange for them so cable was the way to go and so far (touch wood) no problems whatsoever! I've still got access to my Tiscali emails but I was on dial up with them as a "pay as you surf" account.

Best site for info on all things broadband:

I personally am on Pipex 2mb unlimited* service with free phone calls for 19.99 a month which aint bad but as I am new to broadband do not really have anything to compare it to, you will generally find most ISPs will get a few customers who moan about their service and the more customers the ISP has equals the more complaints so best bear that in mind.

*Most if not all ISPs have a fair usage policy which basically means that you should not be downloading from newsgroups p2p etc during peak times or they may throttle your connection speed severely during these times - they call it Traffic Management.

PEOPLE think Stephen Hawking is so clever, but when you ask him a question and he is typing in the answer on his little screen, how do we know he isn't just looking up the answer on the Internet?
