No dude you are right it's all about how you like your software to work and feel and even I must conffesssssssss ADOBE is a great package but it limits custom installs too much and I can't see why it needs to use back office?

Vegas again is good but the browser reminds me of a PS2!

Well by now your pc will be bits of chips with no fish and a sparking axe.

Either output or save your file as MPEG2 for now and get used to the way adobe feels then you can tweek the fields for the suitable final media once you know how Encore opperates.

Thanks to all of you for your help, I have put my PC in a bath of acid and watched the fucker melt away and I am sitting quivering by the letter box, gnawing at my nails, awaiting the delivery of Wes Howells book on how to author on Encore.

Maybe this is just somethign i find easy or you guys really are making a pigs ear of it.

I edit and create mountainbike dvds for a hobby and am a webdesigner by trade so guess its just something i have grown used to.

I just fail to see the difficulty when these great products are backed by help files, websites with tips and most have forums relating to using their product. no offence to this forum but try asking elsewhere for help.....like a video editing forum?

I think that novices like me would have a lot less difficulty, if the geeks who make this kind of software, handed the programme to a teacher of educationaly subnormal children and got them to write the manual. For example why cant they create instructions in the form of flow charts, so you'd have say 3 or 4 examples of possible films, and then step by step instructions were given.
I think geeks like to make things complicated to keep the mystique of their trade to themselves.

Can you import projects from Premiere Pro into this programme?
