Sean Connery

Post by Heathray »

Whinging about young Murray not getting enough backing to become a great tennis pro. Eh? He is in the LTA elite squad so probably gets ?30k a year minimum.

I wish Connery would fuck off whining about Scotland, he only visits it about 3 times a year to see his bankers and stock brokers, he hasn't lived there since about 5 minutes after he made Dr No.

Everyone always has a go at him for not living in Scotland for tax reasons or whatever...but if you are honest ...would you live in britain if your income ran into the millions? would you? i know a lot of ppl wouldnt for that very reason alone...its easy to criticise but ive never doubted his feelings for scotland

When he supported the SNP or whoever at the election they actually had to point out that he'd paid a shitload in tax in Scotland over the last few years. Probably not as much as she should have done but it was still a lot.

I'm beginning to understand Heathray. He reminds me of the whiny Grandad in Steptoe and Son. Nothing can escape the wrath of Heathray...damn, not even Sean Canary

If you had the money would you choose the weather of Scotland
or Spain,regardless of tax?

Although with the threat of terrorism coming from 2 fronts in Spain now Scotland might be a good choice

cheers

While no-one can deny anybody choosing to live in sunnier climes (for whatever reason) and Sean Connery is a great actor I just wish he would stop being so hypocritical

He wants to be totally Scottish and for Scotland to break away from the rest of Britain but has he forgotten he made his name playing a British secret agent (based in England), is quite happy to accept a British knighthood and enjoys all the benefits of living abroad on the back of having a British passport.
