Intresting post Steve, its widely accepted that parts of Back in Black WAS in production at the time of Bons death, notably 'You Shook me all night long' and 'Hells Bells'..........you just have to see the lyrics to see the Bon 'signature' amongst them.
I have just recieved an excellent bootleg video of AC/DC in UK from 1978, and it is smoking!!.............dispite the worldwide fame and subsequent stage shows and lighting rigs, after Bon, it just wasn't the same

I'm a bit late on this one (having only just read it) but must add my support to the discussion. Bon Scott was THE MAN and although I've seen AC/DC 11 times I would swap at least half of them for just one gig with Bon at the helm. AC/DC are the greatest band of all time and their first few albums (and Back in Black) are still leagues ahead of any opposition in the rock world - pure fucking quality and no mistake. I was blasting out Powerage & High Voltage last night and even nearly 30 years on these albums are the absolute dog's bollocks. Love it!

The Love Walrus aka Metal Bob (208 gigs since Motorhead/Girlschool/Vardis in November 1980).

He was certainly an excellent front man and was sadly missed, Brian Johnson had a hard time winning over old AC/DC fans even after the truely excellent Back in Black album and I admit it was a long time before I could really enjoy him as frontman. Anyway, if anyone is interested I bought the latest AC/DC dvd the other day which is also excellent, almost the history of AC/DC:
* DVD 1: 1975-1980
Baby Please Don't Go (TV Show 75)
Show Business (Live 75)
High Voltage (Clip 75)
It's A Long Way To The Top (If You Wanna Rock 'N' Roll) (Clip 76)
T.N.T. (TV Show 76)
Jailbreak (Clip 76)
Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap (TV Show 76)
Dog Eat Dog (TV Show 77)
Let There Be Rock (Clip 77)
Rock 'N' Roll Damnation (Clip 78)
Sin City (TV Show 78)
Riff Raff (Live 78)
Fling Thing/Rocker (Live 78)
Whole Lotta Rosie (Live 78)
Shot Down In Flames (Clip 79)
Walk All Over You (Clip 79)
Touch Too Much (Clip 79)
If You Want Blood (You've Got It) (Clip 79)
Girls Got Rhythm (TV Show 80)
Highway To Hell (TV Show 80)

* DVD 2: 1980-1990

Let's Get It Up (Live 81)
For Those About To Rock (We Salute You) (Live 83)
Flick Of The Switch (Clip 83)
Nervous Shakedown (Clip 83)
Fly On The Wall (Clip 85)
Danger (Clip 85)
Sink The Pink (Clip 85)
Stand Up (Clip 85)
Shake Your Foundations (Clip 85)
Who Made Who (Clip 86)
You Shook Me All Night Long (Clip 86)
Heatseeker (Clip 88)
That's The Way I Wanna Rock N Roll (Clip 88)
Thunderstruck (Clip 90)

Are You Ready (Clip 91)

With material ranging from live tracks (Melbourne 75, Colchester 78, Glasgow 78, Largo 81, Detroit 83), TV appearances (Australia's Countdown from 75 to 77, 1978's Midnight Special, Bon's last appearance with AC/DC in Spain in 1980) and promo clips from 1975 through 1991
