Black hole closing

Post by Cate »

Alton Towers is closing down the Black Hole, in the park since the 1984 season this will be a sad loss as the ride is one of my favourites, as was the Thunder Looper and the Alton Rat and Mouse. The last rides will take place in march and on 5th Of March the ride will close.

I think it about time they pentioned off the Corkscrew
as well.

It is getting a bit long in the tooth.

I agree with that Guilbert, the Corkscrew is well past its prime a very uncomfortable ride, when it does close I will miss the sound it makes when it pulls the cars up the track, Last Season I took my Daughters and they were upset the Dynamo was once again taken away.

I love Alton Towers I have been going since the early 80s and its always to me offered a great day out for me and my Girls, The Thunder Looper and Mouse were my favourite two rides at the park, now my favourite two are The Runaway Mine train and Black Hole, why they are getting rid of the Black Hole is beyond me its always packed and in bad weather its a god send. Hopefully they will make another indoor ride similare, And one thing I would love to see at the park is Dodgem Cars, I really miss those.
