It has to be Daffy, because what other cartoon character is as cowardly, greedy, selfish and duplicitous? Sylvester's a close second, I suppose, and my number two choice.

I've always hated that smug, cocky rabbit, and that disgustingly cute, mincing little yellow bird. I prayed for the day that Daffy would give Bugs the kicking he so richly deserves, and that Tweety would be exiled to a South African mine where he would slowly die from toxic gases.

As a character, I probably like Sylvester the best. But my favourite cartoons are Roadrunner vs. Wile E. Coyote.

In a certain sense, my actually favourite character has never been on screen - it's that guy at ACME who comes up with all these fantastic new flawed contraptions. A particular favourite is that wheeled helmet in one of the roadrunner cartoons.
