Not read all the posts, but I can assure you Nottingham is a very dangerous place. The drug issue is a major one as is the city centre that has a pub/poncey bar every 5 steps. It is overrun with lager louts that get tanked up cheap. Aimed initially at the massive student numbers that frequent its excellent university, it has got out of control to the point where the local Chief Superintendant has grave misgivings about the future of the town. Can't comment on the mainly coloured population as it does have a multi-cultured society, and St Annes is VERY VERY rough with a high drug and prostitution problem. That aside, it is a damned pity an innocent 14 year old got killed, I was more sorry and hurt for her parents and family than I was for Ken Bigleys, I will say that

ace is quite right about nottingham i watched a documentary about a year ago about nite life with youths getting pissed coming out of pubs fights and the girls seemed rough too fighting in the streets etc.

i live in Derby and have to agree, Nottingham is a bloody dangerous place to go for a night out! we try to avoid going there at all costs.
