Those of you who watched Private Stars on Bravo last month will remember Brad, the South African wannabe porn stud who won the show.

I bumped into him, and his wife, Alina, out walking a new dog on Oude Hoogstraat - they used to have a lively mongrel, but this was a rottweiler puppy.

"Amsterdam police killed my dog", were the first words out of his mouth. The couple, who live on Oudezijds Achterbugwal, above some windows next to the Angels'coffeeshop, Excalibur, are obviously resilient.

Apparently the cops, in the busiest part of the red light district, had nothing better to do than bust a dog for barking too much. They even brought in some ?xpert""canologist"to determine that their dog had "some pit bull in her" - pit bulls being illegal in this land of "tolerance".

For those of you actually in Amsterdam, keep an eye out for Roos, one of the contestants for Miss Nederland. SBS6 are showing Missen, a program about the backstage stuff - which is in Dutch, but there are lots of other reasons to watch.
