Don't they make combine harvesters and other bits of farm kit? Now you know why America wants control of oil so fat mothers can take their kids to school in a mini tank!

At the equivalent of $6.50 a gallon for petrol in the UK most people would not consider 25mpg to be fuel efficient nor economical! Even my 528i does an average of 28-30mpg and Im way too fond the right peddle :o)

In the UK a fuel efficient car means more like over 40mpg and some cars now are offering 60mpg+ but I guess the fact that we pay huge taxes on fuel has driven the market and demand for such vehicles.

Jay

P.S. That thing has my kind of seats - big, wide and comfy for my fat ass!! The only thing stopping me from changing my 528i for an M3 - me too bloody lardy to sit comfortably in it and be able to drive it safely (or the seats are too small depending on whether you believe the glass is half full or half empty lol)!!!

Apparently in the US there is an exemption for SUVs. They don't have to comply with the fuel consumption limits placed on cars. And I wouldn't be surprised if that was introduced during the Clinton administration.
That new gas-guzzler does 7 miles on a gallon of diesel. But thats OK because its obviously a commercial vehicle!!!!
