Robbie Williams + David Bowie?

Post by MegaTon »

Is it me or is Robbie trying to sing like David Bowie on his new single Radio!
Someone tell Robbie we have already done the 80's revival thing a year or two ago!

Is it any surprise. The only people who bought his stuff were those who were young enough to have listened to Take That or those who fooled by media hype. Even some of those have now realised the lack of talent on offer so best he can do is copy someone else and hope to pick up sales that way. I thought it was Gary Numan.

How is his campain to conquer America going ? Still begging for people to buy his records ?

It's easier for US acts to break big in Britain than UK acts to break in the states due to size alone, Bimmer. Take in the media/marketing, touring, target audience, airplay etc. and it's a collosal task best suited to home-grown acts.

That said, for every Paul Weller going unnoticed on your side there's a Dave Matthews who can't get arrested over here.
