I did: more in hope than despair, true- and I was severally and variously (and intentionally) rude. A few weeks' break gave me an interestingly different perspective on a point I'd already suspected.
My targets were in reality a little closer to home than the posts might have suggested, however (that's GOTTA be worth a delete): the multiplication of sponsorship and the domination of bgafd-proper by certain individuals necessarily and inevitably creates a conflict with the stated aims of the Forum, as I interpret them.
I guess further that Alec's enforced absence with egafd has given a WG a free rein- and that to me is unsatisfactory. There are always multiple points of view, and for that it is to me advisable to have at least a triumvirate in the decision-making process.
The real test of WG's stewardship will be whether or not he heeds these voices (I am not alone, by any means), or summarily deletes.

Once more, those of you on the Jury brave enough to vote, will decide.

I'm well aware that this isn't, and never has been, a democracy, but whoever deleted my posts(s) seems to me to have infringed their own rules: I was merely rude, albeit deliberately contorversial (and far lkess outrageously abusive, personal and irrelevant than, say, the average Tomsk post)- nothing that would be unacceptable in a drawing-room.

And to me the lack even of a courtesy 'explanation' speaks volumes.
But, then: I'm expendable: I rarely do reviews now, due to time-pressure is worryingly typical., so banning/deleting/gagging me is perfectly OK from their POV.

In fairness, having been away a few weeks, you will have missed the deletion of a number of Tomsk's posts, also without explanation. My feeling is the mods expect the regulars to understand why a post has been deleted. I didn't see your offending missive last night (it must have been incendiary to have been deleted so fast), so cannot comment on its rights and wrongs.

As for the domination of the proper forum, why do you think most of us spend so much time here. The closest thing to life we had through there recently involved a wannabe model---and it got rather nasty.

The real point is in your last para- the fact that no-one seems to have attempted to address this dissatisfaction is symptomatic.
In plain English, I suspect WG's arrogance (God knows, I suffer from that particular malady, but that man could give Masterclasses therein).
As usual, if I'm wrong, then show me the error of my ways- but dismissiveness is simply not acceptable on (what is supposed to be) a largely public forum. If there's an agenda, let's HEAR it. If the forum is in future to be run by AC/YC/self-interest groups, let's at least know that.
