Used to enjoy her column in the Guardian magazine on Saturdays.

She managed to upset the catholic church by accusing them of turning a blind eye to abuse by priests.

She also spoke a lot of sense on the unglamorous topic of health and safety in the workplace.

Hmmm, thing about la Burchill is she's good at pointing fingers at people, but less prepared to take a gander at herself.

She talks about child abuse, but she abandoned two sons from two different marriages, basically because she couldn't be arsed. She talks about how boring people on drugs are, and yet she used to revel in her love of naughty salt. She talks about how she hates the media, but she's been a member of it her entire adult life.

I used to find her amusing. Now I just find her desperate need to talk about herself boring. It's not as if she has any talent. Unlike Ben Dover.
