No, the ones who committed the crimes don't deserve to be called people. A heinous crime like that is committed by sub-humans---the same types responsible for tribal massacres in deepest Africa, or sexually abusing and murdering children in Belgian basements.

Whereas the ghouls who rush to watch the killing, knowing what's going to happen, think themselves morally better. Why not rush off to CNN when the next suicide car bomb goes off? You might be lucky and see some body parts splattered about the place.

It'd be nice to believe, Steve, that what Buttsie said would happen: that these monsters would be called to account in some post life judgment scenario and would be sentenced to an eternity in whatever constitutes their own personal hell. Too many monsters have died peacefully in their beds, never forced to face up to their crimes against humanity.

If the Saudis did, as seems likely, get Paul Johnson's murderers, then I'm glad. Will it deter other fanatics from following suit---especially knowing they have a worldwide audience on the internet? I doubt it.
