It was utter rubbish- King is sadly a spent force these days and this sort of self-concious weirdness should've ended with Twin Peaks. Find the Von Trier original instead as it's very unique indeed. It takes a while to get used to and a while to work its magic, but when it does it's quite something.

yes, relocating it in america gives the impression of somebody wearing another persons well tailored but distinctly ill-fitting, jacket: it may look great but it just doesn't feel comfortable.

still, interesting for the autobiographical component - king's car accident - which obviously wasn't present in the von trier original.

King is still capable of producing good ideas, but has a tendency to suddenly remember he's a horror writer and turn them into crap. Hard to believe he followed the brilliant It with the awful Tommyknockers. But for sheer tudishness, nothign competes with the complete pants that is Dreamcatcher.

Caractacus is that Dreamcatcher the tv version or the recently released big screen effort, was going to check the new one out, but if it aint worth it won?t bother.
PEOPLE think Stephen Hawking is so clever, but when you ask him a question and he is typing in the answer on his little screen, how do we know he isn't just looking up the answer on the Internet?

Haven't seen the film, Crofter, but if it's anything like the book please spare yourself the effort.

Reminded me of Garth Marenghi's Darkplace, except the budget was lower.....................

Tommyknockers was OK, in a poor sort of way- but the TV adaptation was dire (even with Traci Lords........).
King is much better on paper. And the older the paper, the better, if you catch my drift.
