Amazing and they had a wicked drummer Mike Tegza ...
Check out the live 1968 cd , Wayfaring Stranger is my fave track ....

The new album "Everything must go" is also really good if you like the Fagen solo stuff .... but production wise they still cant be beat !

ruby baby great song i nevedr knew till the 80s it was a cover of a dion song thought it was a dan orig.

Probably most of Jaggers lyrics could be viewed in a variety of meanings. Let's face it he has been there done everything etc.

Dion my arse !

Its was recorded first by the Drifters , and is in fact a Leieber/Stoller song.

The solo on the Fagen track is by Greg Phillinganes and he based it on

the Kinks "You really got me " riff ......


Michael Omartian also played on that solo.
