I hate Tony Blair but what is the alternative to Labour, the Tories, don't make me laugh. I've just bought a new car and the Interest Rate on the loan is 5.9%, when I bought my 1st car in 1993 the Interest Rate I paid was 23.9%. ever since Labour got to power the country has been stable in terms of the economy mostly down to Gordon Brown, when the tories where in power it was forever boom, bust, boom, bust. Appreciate that certain promises have not been kept but that would also be the same for the Tories.

Anyone who votes Tory has a very short memory. Things are shit now, but IMO were worse under the Tories. Blair is the problem, not Labour.

Thats decided then... Keep Labour, and pressure them to dump Blair. Trouble is, as Gordon Brown is doing a good job as chancellor, do we really want him to leave that post to be PM?

Well, they do say "In the country of the blind the one-eyed man is king".

Steve56 - each to their own - but the Tories are worse than ever. They want to use our money to subsidise their rich friends' private health and education - and they want to slash public services.

Once upon a time, the Tories were a decent party that believed in trying to look after the whole country, rich and poor. Howard and his lot are much more extreme even than Thatcher.

A Tory government run by these people would be a disaster.
