I just tried the grc.com test and I passed with flying colours. I have the freebie ZoneAlarm. My ISP also does a lot of protecting- I must say I almost miss receiving Spam....lol

Its true to say that most of the attacks are on the later versions of Windows products but the older programs are still have security& stability problems

I wouldn't run IE5 without a firewall & anti-virus knowing what I now know.

Windows 98 has some unique tools which were very useful but not continued into later versions of Windows,all explained at this link posted by Woodgnome

If Telcos in Australia are anything to go by

Friend of mine got stung for $AUS800-00

Its all in the fine print but each telco probably has a different spin on it
