Good find, Giles. As I recall, the Nazi bankrolling charge was one of the lies Bimmercat accused Michael Moore of in Stupid White Men. Interesting, too, that the US media didn't shine the same large spotlight on Dubya's military career that it did on Clinton. Yes, when he won the election in 1992, against a Bush who did serve his country, Clinton had been an anti-war protestor. But Bush's running mate, the very intelligent next to Dubya J. Danforth Quayle was another one who'd missed the draft due to parental influence and served his time in the National Guard.
There are some scary, influential people at work in the shadows of the Bush administration, and if they aren't pulling the strings as such then they definitely have the ear of the president's closest advisors. Who has the brain of the president, no one knows, but I doubt they're doing anything productive with it.
Bush is NOT a Nazi....

Re: Let us not forget...
We're well aware in this country of our own faults with regard to the Nazis. While the Americans were following the isolationist philosophy, many in Britain (and parts of Europe) were content to let Hitler and his hoodlums take what they want rather than risk the slaughter of the Great War all over again. Worse, there were people in this country who admired Hitler for what he was doing.
Try reading Arthur Miller's play All My Sons for making a buck out of war. And it's already been pointed out the savage irony of both Gulf wars involving our troops facing weapons made in this country, or France, or the USA, sold to Saddam when he was considered the "good guy." I know how many jobs depend on the armaments industry, but how many times do we have to let our forces be killed by our weapons or ammunition before we learn to look at the whole question morally instead of simply economically?

Re: Bush & the Nazis
Where do you get the idea we all love Clinton?
And we have had flying objects hitting London, Bimmercat. The September 11th incident just happens to be the first time the USA has been hit, so its that much more important isn't it.
Why do you want all those celeb "ingrates" to go and live elsewhere. Havn't you ever heard the expression "My Country, right or wrong"?
