The only thing that will relieve this racial pressure is total employment
It won't cure it totally but it would act as a circuit breaker

The fact that society accepts 5 percent unemployment as a good thing is scary
and then classes someone working as little as 20 hours a week as being gainfully employed

The LA Riots showed just how racial tension can explode
It usually only takes one ridiculous act in this case an exoneration for the cops involced in the beating to light the powderkeg

Who in their right mind would want to be a Copper anywhere

Protecting the middle class & rich from those caught in the poverty traps

Sounds like a lose lose to me

taped the programme as well, I found it quite unsettling as well, not for the racist remarks but the way they were gained, ie I will ask you racist questions, will you give me racist answers, plus most of the footage was shot when the trainees were out on the piss or after they had been out on the piss, if this was not entrapment, not sure what is, plus who edited this show??
left a bad taste in the mouth.

You think that was bad one of our Aussie Comedy groups did a skit on the Rodney King beating with the finale being a closeup after the beating of Rodney saying

Doesn't get more Racist than that IMHO-written by whites for whites

We've been over that difference between American Positive can do and English why?. In my book its all distorted by Television...and as we know TV is very good as obscuring reality

I think Americans are just as cynical as the rest of the world its just that those that are never get shown on TV for the rest of us to see

You only have to look at the statistics about how many people actually vote in Presidential elections.A turn out of 50% is considered good which means
50% think its all a crock of shite-which it is
