Why not try the firewall Zone Alarm(free version) at

Can't vouch for it being adware free but the version I have(from a free CD)
seems to be stopping 100s of messages to and from my computer everyday

The old story...too many choices

I just read the tutorial on Zone Alarm an its actually very similar( minus the virus scanner)to what you've got but with a lot of other bonuses

They also offer a 30 day free trial on their top pay version

File it away for PC Cillin implodes

Personally trying to figure out what is the best combination is a nightmare best left to a pro-they're bloody hard to find but

i use Avast antivirus now magoo and sygate firewall had problems with network using a 2 in one programs
