Coming from Scotland, a lot of our performers end up quitting because of abuse they get.
I have been wondering though, what about girls in England, Wales and Northern Ireland in their local areas, do they get similar abuse for their choices? I can imagine that it will happen, but is it so bad that they will quite over it?
I'm trying to finding out if it's culturally worse up here than anywhere else in the UK

Re: Local girls reception
I have been on sites where models and non-models photographs get posted and loads of twonks just want to know where they live, and I don't just mean the Town but the street, where they work etc.
I'm assuming they are trainee stalkers most of them but having a Twitter page and advertising yourself is a double edged sword which models will have to get used to, or grow a very thick skin.

so it's safe to say then that no matter what sort of modelling or beauty based profession a girl is in, there is a good chance that some squalled character will attempt to harass them in some way?

If this article is anything to go by then it's the same wherever you are.

As recently as seven or eight years ago a girl could possibly 'get away' with doing porn without anyone from her private life knowing about it.
Now, on the other hand, with social networking sites all over the place, all it takes is for one wee smart arse to post something and the cat is out of the bag.
I reckon girls nowadays either need some very supportive, broad minded friends or very thick skin. Probably both.
