i think there's a tendency towards toys/dildos etc but i can think of some that don't. I think one of the main problems with any british girl/girl scenes is that they are expected to fit to 20/25 minutes at most. We can do them i can think of plenty of great scenes involving eg katie k, karina currie, jo may etc but with the exception of some johnny rebel titles they are often just a break in the boy/girl that dominates.

I'd definitely agree that British porn is crap compared to Euro/American sites for girl/girl action

I'm sorry that this will probably offend a few people, but this is my personal opinion, British porn seems to look more like "amateur" filmed footage rather than professionally produced and filmed with that "hi-def" look to it.

Killergram and Bluebird aside, there's no more I can think of where British sites don't look home-made or generally amateur in comparison. Even model's own sites like Katie K or Michelle Thorne's sites are generally "home made", yet TV companies like TVX are more bothered about the British TV market rather than using the internet like many foreign companies have, and I think it shows because they seem afraid to spend some money on "better quality" content.

Take the European producers for example, they hire out seaside villas with an infinity pool and will spend a week filming various scenes for the week with a whole bunch of models.

I'm not saying that the Brits should hire a caravan or a seaside apartment in Skegness, but based on what I've seen to date online, I totally expect British producers to book a Sun "holiday for a tenner" as their setting, and film a couple of scenes on a Sony camcorder in the woods.

I don't know why, but it's quite showing that the UK market is more bothered by softcore "phone in" channels and top shelf magazines in UK newsagents rather than doing like other larger (more successful??) production companies like Brazzers or Private in making their content available to the world.

And for those more bothered about "top shelf mags" - no matter what your current sales are like, the internet means I get to see a lot more, without the public embarrassment of buying a copy of Razzle down my local newsagents.

I'd give it another 5 years before the print market has gone completely, and by that point, how many UK teenagers/young adults will be willing to pay for UK porn that looks home-made when they could pay for Brazzers or 21Sextury subscriptions and watch European/American models with a more polished look and feel? Not many I'd expect! Yet where are the British producers right now and where are their attempts at getting into that market before its too late?? Because I can't see them....!

if you're seriously interested in building a genuinely reputational UK industry, why do most "good" UK workers go to America or Europe and then some seem to stay there?? Sophie Dee, Tanya Tate, Michelle Moist, Kerry Louise, Sasha Cane.... (even Katie K went out there for some work with their production companies) and Keiran Lee went to the states and isn't coming back any time soon....

so why the shift towards the States? is it that they get more money, in which case, why are British producers not paying higher rates to retain their services in the UK? that's what confuses me, if people are happy to moan that the industry is going out, then why not do something about it and invest some money to build it up again?

Oh here we go again...Always when I read these posts I cringe. the grass is always greener on the otherside and yes it is and then, no it isnt depending on who you talk to.

Yes you make good points but you also negate the efforts of Harmony, Orchid, Kendo (by far the best out of the entire UK in my opinion for flare and panache ie exceedingly high production values)

You guys bang on about high end, girl on girl but you forget Viv Thomas, high quality pic sites such as Suburban Amateurs and more...

As for going to the US, its the mecca of porn. Everything about US porn is better. Better paid, better conditions, sunshine, fun, good sex, good studs, rock hard dicks and a better quality of life if you are willing to work hard for it. Makes you wonder why Nikki Jayne quit in the end if it was so great because money was certainly not the issue.

I dont blame the ex pats for ending up out there, thats where the parties at but you have to remember that not all producers aspire to greatness in porn. if they did there would be a more professional attitude in terms of getting involved with making it a better place for starters.

Given the restrictions we face here on UK porn we're not doing bad at all. There are to many "producers" trying to get girls on the cheap not showing up and committing to shoots making models despondent with the industry 9if indeed you can call it that)

I understand your tastes lean to the US and Europe in terms of the quality of girls but observation has led me to believe that the real popularity in UK porn is home grown girls. I'm not the authority on this topic but Im just answering it because I know no one else of authority will bother to.

That gold rush has gone years ago. Thats like investing money in stocks. Look what the banks did to that? Same difference with porn. Porn has always been the fastest way to lose a lot of money but a fun way to do it if you were in it to get a shag

The only reason why some sites are still around is because they have been around for a long time and still provide decent updates but when those numbers are dwindling to those who realise they can get it for free elsewhere why support the site by giving anymore money to it when they can get it for free?

I cant see this mindset changing so expect it to get worse. The internet has changed the face of the high street. its only fair it will change the business too.

Even new sites like BootyBox failed to launch because of the impositions put on it by ATVOD and Mr Cs content is of very high standard
