I can partly answer your question, ochaye. He was doing a number of things.
Before he directed a handful of early Private movies starting with their 1st,
Anal Manor, which I wrote and starred in, he was working quite a lot as a
stills photographer for Private magazine. In fact he did stills for other people
too including, I think, John Graham of "Score" fame. In the immediate
aftermath of Videx he also continued to work as a stud sometimes in stills
shoots for Color Climax, then started quietly developing the mail order biz
that landed him in clink.

Was he also doing stills for Escort magazine in the early 80's?

He certainly didn't do any stills for us (John Graham) between 1987 and 1992 ! After that maybe.
