No worries. I sent you something on Twitter again, but it never appeared on your screen. Its funny cos Facebook is so easy to figure out, but Twitter is a bit more complicated - for me anyway, but maybe I'm a bit dim. lol. xx

You seem to want to send a DM (direct message) to Poppy on Twitter you can't do that to anyone unless they are following you. (and your following them)

What you can do is tweet a message to Poppy using her nick @.... just like you would do a tweet on your own page.

Andy, thanks for that. It's straightforward to reply to a message posted on someone's normal Twitter page (the option 'reply' is clear to see) but it all got a bit weird the other night after Poppy sent me a direct message (as I'm following her) this appeared in the inbox of my seperate email account, I clicked on it, got a very differnt type Twitter screen appear, with Poppy's direct message to me on it, and when trying to respond to that I got the "you cant send a message as they are not following you" thing. Never mind, if one just hits the 'reply' thing next to someone's message on that persons normal Twitter screen they can send something. I have since done this and sent The Popster a couple of messages.

You get that all the time.

What's happens is the person follows you to send the DM (direct message) and then unfollows you.

They can do it to you if you are following them but obviously can't if they are not.

I've always found Twitter a bit strange. As far as I'm aware a person can post one picture and someone can click on it and enlarge it, but that is it. Whereas on Facebook you can post hundreds of photos. But maybe I've got that wrong, maybe there is a way to post many photos on Twitter and I've just not sussed out how yet.

I'm not too keen to post pics on there, just keen to access other people's. If they've put them on there for the general viewing of all their followers then the followers would be interested in seeing them. Everyone I've ever tried to view the photos of on Twitter only seems to have one picture - unless they have more and I just haven't figured out how to access them.
