Anyone bought any DVD's through them, and how did you find their service? I only had a debit card, not a credit card, when I placed an order last week - and they promptly emailed me to inform me of this. One way they suggested I purchase the DVD (called 'Junkyard Sluts'), was by cheque. I posted them a cheque last Wednesday (8 days ago), which they should have received at their address in Spain by Monday. I emailed them on Monday asking if they had received it, but heard nothing back. I re-emailed them about it two days later (Wednesday - yesterday) but have still not had a reply.
Those of you who have bought DVD's from them, is that normal practice - where the DVD just arrives in the mail? I thought they would keep you updated, like sending you an email saying 'cheque arrived - order despatched today' or something. But in the 8 days since I mailed it, and what is likely to now be three days since they received the cheque, and in spite of emailing them twice, I've heard nothing. Am I to just wait for the thing to drop through my letterbox in London some time in the next week or two, or whenever? Is this normal practice?

Hi,
We reply to all emails the same day as we receive them. However some customer's spam settings or their ISP's server spam settings mean they do not receive the emails - and they are not bounced back to us either.
If you would like to email me again at support@simplyporndvd.com with your name and address, I will check again for you and reply from my personal email address - so that you should get it OK.
I would mention though that mail from the UK to Spain takes longer than 3 days. It can be anything from 3-10 days. The same applies to letter mail from the UK to Holland. We used to get all such mail in 3 days a few years so. Now it can be up to a week. Royal Mail give no priority to overseas mail as they are not measured as regards performance targets on overseas mail - either coming or on going out.
On top of that, if you didn't put the correct 50p stamp on your letter, Royal Mail deliberately holds the letter for thre weeks before they send it on to us (with a sticker saying the postage was underpaid).

And that probably answers the problem. Your ISP is not allowing you to send emails to simplyporndvd.com - probably because of the word "porn" in the email address.
Can you try emailing me at support@stb.eu.com with a copy to khall@141.com

always found them to be one of the few reliable retailers on the net. Even when ive placed orders for dvds which are out of stock they have kept me informed. I would recommend them no probs.

Please regard this thread as closed. I have been in touch with the company and have been informed that the DVD was posted to me three days ago. I am impressed by the very fast turnaround (have been informed that the cheque arrived on Monday and that the DVD was sent to me on Monday afternoon) and also by how promptly this was looked into from me this evening. I will be making further purchases in the near future.
