No, its legal to buy anything that wouldn't contravene the OPA and even then it may in fact be legal!!!

Illegal to sell within UK via mail order then, yes.

Someone said on here a while ago that it is not illegal to sell the thing and for an organisation to transport it to your frontdoor, unless it is done by Royal Mail. As everything that is posted goes via Royal Mail then it is apparently illegal because that is the means of transportation. If, and this is very unlikely, a company had the thing delivered to you by a courier company then the whole process would be legal.
