Yes I caught this show. It has been shown before and there have
been threads on here before about it if you want to do a search

Don't know which film Nat is in but you can find the other film with his
girlfriend in the films index. Think it's called real girlfriends

A perfect example why UK producers shouldnt TV wouldnt you agree? So all those researchers and jornalists take note why a lot of producers are hostile towards suggestions of doing programmes like these...Whether James was right or wrong is another matter but you can bet your arse in the editing process it would be far more interesting to the programme to add to the stereotype that all people in porn are weirdos from abused backgrounds who cannot do better for themselves and not the possibility that women even like sex which is why they only do it for money.

Having seen many reality shows etc on tv I don't doubt for a
moment that some creative editing went on here.
I can fully appreciate why you might not trust tv makers/journos
and respect youir point of view on this subject

My only point was that he didn't appear to want to pay Natalie
the agreed fees. When he was paying her it certainly came across
that his payment to her was a take this because that's all you are
getting attitude (regardless of what fees had been agreed)
To have her leave his house in tears did not seem a good idea to me

If it's not seen as being offensive, can I ask do you normally agree rates
with the models you work with by email? Or is verbal agreement enough?

To answer your question, it is normal practice to agree the work & rate by email. This protects BOTH parties. In this case, it was agreed that the fee paid would include travel expenses.

To answer your statement - yes the rate was agreed in writting. Plus the model agreed to sign a model release.

The model decided that she wanted more money, for whatever reason. When told that only the agreed fee would be paid the model did what she did, I doubt very much she would have done the same if C4 had not been there filming.

My view is I (nor should any model or producer) be held to ransume of fees. I have been supprised how many people including producers agreed with the model.

With this in mind, I have this offer to anyone that agrees with the model. Contact me to film for you, we will agree a fee, then once I have filmed it I will ask - no sorry - insist on more than the agreed fee.

This clearly would be reasonable.

If I can ask Terry - I assume that when you filmed myself & Gemma for the agreed fee, would you have thought it reasonable for us to say after you had filmed it that we wanted an extra ?100 for example?

I await the no doubt interesting replies.

As I stated in the show neither you or the model produced any
document that showed an agreed fee. Just my opinion but if you
had shown the email on camera then maybe you would not then have
come across as the bad guy
As you say an email protects both parties

I can only form my opinion on what I saw on the screen.
To that end it portrayed you in a bad light and the model as the injured
party. Something in writing may well have painted a different scenario
leading me to form a totally different opinion

I do understand that this programme could have been edited in any way
that channel 4 wished. That was the reason that I didn't comment on
the other issues in this show. Again just my opinion but from what I saw
the footage of you and your ex-girlfriend was a case of just her word
against yours. No doubt the true story lies somewhere in between
her version and yours

In brief C4 new that the fee was the agreed fee. Also re my ex, C4 did say I had a model release for this footage, which was provided to them.

I agree the program did potray me in a negative light, but sadly porn is protraied negatively in this country.

It was interesting that the other model there on that day who was very happy was not shown, but thats editing.

It was a great shame for all concerned.

The scene with me & Nat is out later this year in CandiceParis's Casting Tapes - look out for it.
